The Southern Nevada Gem and Mineral Society is hosting Viva Las Vegas Rocks! a Gem and Mineral Show and Sale in November at the Santa Fe Station Casino in Las Vegas. Hours: Fri- 1pm - 7pm, Sat- 9am - 5pm, Sun- 9am - 4pm; Venue: Santa Fe Statin Casino, 4949 N Rancho, Las Vegas , NV 89130. A fantastic experience for all ages, this three day event will be filled with an array of fascinating activities, including displays of rocks, gems, minerals, fossils, jewelry, crafts, demos, and more. There will be a Kids Corner where younger attendees can engage and learn in a fun and interactive manner. There will be door prizes and silent auctions. Events: ASCENSIONS – FREE to attend from 7-9am Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings, January 24th – 26th, 2025, the sky will be filled with colorful hot-air balloons participating in the Morning Ascensions for a spectacular sight of mass and color. Spectators can walk on the field and experience the balloons inflation and lift off. Photo taking is invited.
DESERT GLOWS – PAID event from 12-9pm. Ticket details below- Friday and Saturday evenings, January 25th & 26th, 2025 are our most popular attended events. A field full of illuminated, tethered, hot air balloons will “GLOW”.
Other Events: Hot Air Balloon rides, Family Fun Zone – Inflatables, BMX Stunt shows, Hot Air Balloon Tether rides, Live Entertainment, sampling, and many other exciting events. Retail shopping and commercial exhibits for purchases or browsing.
Street FoodFest: The 8th Annual “Street Foodfest” is set with a culinary experience including festival food favorites, “Beer Stations”, Live music on stage and more. Come hungry and stay for a while…

Come enjoy the third annual Truth or Consequences Rock & Gem Show March 1 & 2, 2025, Saturday and Sunday 9-5 at the Sierra County Fair Barn at 1321 Hyde Ave in Truth or Consequences, NM. Sponsored by the Sierra County Rock and Gem Society. Take a soak in the local hot springs before or after enjoying the show! Vendors will offer rocks and minerals, geode cracking, fossils, beads, and jewelry. There will be collecting field trips, presentations, and demos. Come pan for gold and Montana sapphires! Spin our Wheel of Fortune where every spin’s a win! Kids can paint a rock for free! Family friendly. Free admission, free parking, door prizes.
