Dioptase from Africa primarily consists of copper, silicon, oxygen, and hydrogen as its main components, forming a hydrated copper silicate mineral, with the chemical formula CuSiO3·H2O; essentially, the primary mineral present in African dioptase is just dioptase itself, which is a copper silicate compound.
